But I mean, when you have a friend like this you get to work with who you can never quite predict what's next but still can hardly wait for what's next then heck yeah, I'll talk Christmas all day any day! Artist's Note: Each Christmas we've added a new decoration; this is last year's Christmas creation and this year's is on the drawing board currently. Shhhh...!
One of the things I love most about my work is what we can do with it after it's done. It's a pretty simple process; I draw the original and give it to you and then the sky's the limit with our creativity. And the smiles keep coming, so how can that not be awesome? I know I smile all day long just thinking about it and I hope you & yours do as well. Just about anything you can think of -- and I'll tell you when I can't draw something (usually that's people -- I must have skipped class that day in Drawing 202, sorry!). Heck, I've even added one sweet woman's beloved squirrels and squirrel feeders to her drawing and my gosh was that a happy moment.
The point is, the art continues to give in many ways and for many years to come. And that's what we need to fill our homes and families with -- the stuff that speaks to your heart and makes you smile. It can be really, really simple and inexpensive or it can be an original Picasso. I don't care, you be you. As long as it's a happy You you are being. In the meantime, Christmas is coming and slowly these crappy days of 2020 are starting to take on a new and very welcomed mood for me like a long-lost friend, and I hope they do for you, too.
Keep taking care, my friends, and I wish you peace.
