Some of you already know this; to my new friends, you’ll figure me out pretty quickly. For years I’ve admired the houses here (okay...not quite stalked, but close) and the new ones always delight. And someday soon I’ll draw a few of these babies. I’d love for these homeowners to have that art hanging on their walls back in their city homes — its the perfect reminder we all need for why we do what we do everyday.

Julianne Horton - Hi Joan -- it's so nice to meet you!
Yes, I knew this beauty was yours. Charlotte and Emily have had such a great time connecting over this beautiful place we all love so much. During last summer's vacation I was able to watch your house build for a week, and then of course being there just a few weeks ago I was so excited to see your finished project -- and it is stunning! You all did a masterful job and I know you are so happy. Congratulations to you and your husband and family on such a wonderful place to now call "home"!
Hopefully someday we can meet. My boys and I stayed in Turtle Soup, just down the road from you, in August. Loved it. And chances are excellent we'll shoot for that one again next year. Perhaps then I can take you out to lunch and we can finally meet. That would be delightful!
Thank you for your comment; I've just launched my website this evening and this is such a nice treat. Enjoy your evening!

Joan Maggio - HI There. My daughter Emily Maggio worked with your daughter Charlotte at Salisbury. I had the pleasure of meeting her and we talked about BHI and our love for the island. The last house that "inspires" you is mine. What a coincidence!! After purchasing the land in 2004 and dreaming of someday living on BHI, we were fortunate enough to build our dream home and now live here full time at 431 South Bald Head Wynd.
